I got a 30g brute trash can to mix my saltwater and my TDS out the RO/DI is at 0 and I just got this brand new RO/DI system like 2 months ago but I check it in the brute and it goes up to 10-15 TDS I cleaned it with vinegar thought it was dirty but I checked it after and it's the same is the plastic bad or I got the wrong brute trash can

It might be your salt. Its the right trash can, I would clean it out fill it with 0 tds water and then retest. That will eliminate the possibility of the trash can changing the TDS.

Might sound simple, but make sure you are using the same tester. What I mean by that, I have a handheld tds tester and one that is built into my RO/DI. Measure both sets of water with the same hand held tester. Let us know the results.

Yes i got a tds tester to check and i cleaned it again and from the di it comes out 0 and after i cleaned brute again it was lower to 5 now maybe i need to clean it better or just exchange the brute for another one
