I just got a new 70 gallon acrylic tank and it has some scratches that i'd like to be removed. anybody know of a good place that's affordable? the dimensions are 36"L 18"W 24"H
If I could find the time I'd come out and do it for you for no charge. I used it to polish out an acryllic 180 years ago. I also used it to polish headlight lenses. Where are you located?
Depends on how bad the headlights are. I tried this stuff on everything, even old scratched up cd's.
One thing that might help, though. I stuck with the fine scratch remover (red #2). The large scratch remover solution did nothing for me. Good luck.
I agree with xraymatt, but it depends on the depth of your scratches. Finger nail depth scratches it will not remove. I have used all of their polishing compounds and they are definitely my choice. In terms of headlights the same applies. I think the number 3 works better on deeper scratches than the number two. I think it also matters whether your doing it by hand or with an electric polisher.
I guess ill try it on the bigger scratches tomorrow to see if it does anything, if not i might as well find someone to do the whole tank... seems like to much work that i dont want to do
Depending on how deep the scratches are Novus 3, 2 & 1 will be good for fine scratches, but for deep scratch wet sanding with orbital sander from 320 to 2,000 grid if you have not done it i suggest have a professional do it.
