Oh you gotta love the acrylic tanks... but at least you got a bunch of new toys! So Maguires instead of the Novus huh? You always post good pics of your builds so don't slack on this one.

Thanks Bean:) I will be using the Maguire's # 105 = 1200grit then # 9 swirl remover on inside and outside of front and sides. Then will use the wet sand paper process 800 - #105, #9 only on back black acrylic giving me lessons with both. I have seen a tank refinished with the Maguire process and it looked really nice. Refinishing is one of the good things about acrylic tanks for sure.....
I have (4) 9" x 17" openings across the top of DT sure hopping I can get inside thru one of them...lol

Be careful of those harbor freight polisher machines. The pads are really unreliable. I used the Maguires DA drill attachment and it's amazing. They sell cheap on Amazon and you can pick up a corded drill from Walmart for $18

Btw, wet sanding by hand is a pain. Use a machine. I tried by hand and just gave up after a few hours of hand sanding. F it.. It's good enough. Haha

I am using a palm sander wouldn't try it by hand:) Have only worked on the back black acrylic so far.......worked on it for a few hours 5 weeks ago and have worked every weekend since. I do the maintenance on apartment's for several property managers here in Bako and manage another 40 units myself. I am on call 24/7 so only can work on my build during weekends when not working or being LAZY. I will post pic's of the process just nothing to see yet:(
