looking into getting a calcium rx and looking at the aquamaxx s 2 or the koralin 1602. anyone use any of these? pros or cons? I was told the aquamaxx is a bit noisy and ph probe holder didn't fit a probe so well. any thoughts? thanks. what other models would be "good" to use, I have 85g with very minimal corals right now but plan on a sps/lps mix reef. also no I wont be dosing

Hi Goober, I'm currently using the koralin on the 180 with no issues, corals are doing great, in fact I brought one more to set up a calcium reactor on the 50 gallon, I try the aquamaxx on the cube, and as much as I like the brand I had too many issues with it, first start leaking from the probe, I tide it several times and nothing, I ending up sitting it on the sump, after that some how it was passing the media trough the pump, tuck the whole thing apart, cleaned again re set it up and when I though it was gonna work fine, stop passing water trough the line, tuck the pump apart, try it on a bucket, pump was fine, after all that hassle brought the kiralin, yes maybe annoying dessing, but not too many issues. Just my 2 cents. Good luck Go.

I have had both. I prefer my aquamaxx. 1 I haven't had any issues with it as mentioned above also it's so much easier to add media. Take a few seconds instead of a long chore.

I don't have experience with either of those brands, but I love my GEO now that it's locked in. Quiet, with no Co2 getting trapped by the lid. It's only been a month or so but it has yet to clog, my drip rate stays the same.
