Came home Sunday night from being away for the weekend visiting family and my tank looked great and even noticed my Cali Tort colony was coloring up better than ever. Came home from work on Monday and saw that the colony was 60% dead and started to try and diagnose. I saw 2-3 white worm like structures coming from the rock work that i thought may have been stinging it and pulled the piece of rock out and then saw there were 4-5 spongy white things on the colony. I have many other pieces of SPS all doing very well so i'm fairly certain its not water params and its one of these pests. Don't have pictures but does anyone know what either of these white worms and spongy things could be?
I dipped the piece in Coral Revive but almost positive i lost the whole colony in less than 24 hours...
Temp: 78.5
ph: 8.15
Ca: 475
Alk: 9.0
Mag: 1400
Any help is much appreciated as I don't want to watch this spread across the tank..
