Saw this at a Vietnamese restaurant in Fountain Valley - Nhu Y.

It was an aquarium in the counter top. Maybe a 20 gal tall. No protein skimmer, just a HOB filter wheel.

So sad. :(

If you'd ever visit the restaurant, it has very weird decor. Lots of random misplaced decorations everywhere... including a deer head mounted on the wall.

The menu is like a phone book, lots of choices. Food as tasty though if you can read Vietnamese.

its so sad but I have noticed almost every crappy Asian food restraint has some form of a god awful tank. China Garden near me has a half empty (water) tank because they don't do anything to it. looks so stupid and its right in the front when you walk in. I stopped going there after a roach crawled across our table....

There's a Thai Resutrant in Alhambra (Green Papaya) that has a 180gal tank with a beautiful Powder Blue Tang, 1 chromi, 1 six line wrasse, 1 black maroon clown, 1 flame angel, a really healthy BTA with a pair of clowns hosting it..... and that's about it (LR and a few corals are in there of course).
