Can someone ID this

I've never really looked at my tank a few hours after the lights have been out till today. I seem about 10-15 of these flatworms on the tank wall.
They range in size from 1/4"-1/2". They seem to have a hard shell on the top side of their body.
These a terrible iPhone pics so let's see if you guys can ID these things. Friend or foe?

Also if that's right they are perfectly safe. Check Google images to compare, it's a little hard to tell from your photos.

I know it's hard to tell from the crappy pics but I'm thinking that they are stomatella snails too. But lets see what the day walkers have to say.
