I recently noticed he hasnt been comming out to eat in 3 days, so I'm guessing he must have died. I'm only worried my nitrates may spike. I do have a decent clean up crew, variety of snails including nassarus, cerith, margarita, and turbo as well as a variety of hermit crabs, red leg, blue leg, scarlet, and a large electric blue hermit. Every so often that something dies, I end up just finding the skeleton, oh I forgot to mention I have a 4" DSB...my question is, should I worry and try to find the little cadaver, or just let the CUC do its thing and hope my parameters stay the same? thanks guys. I'm gonna miss seeing the little guy poke its head out of the coral branches :(

It's always best to pull dead fish out, but if you can't find it I wouldn't worry too much unless you have a nano tank. Those fish are tiny anyways, sorry about your fish though

I never see bodies in my tank. The CUC devour it before I discover it.
+1 I got up at night once to pee and with the moon lights I saw a congregation of hermit crabs and snails all eating a dead shrimp I used to have. The next day I couldn't find a trace of it.

My tank is a 30g cube with a 20g sump so its about 40-45g total. All my coral look good so far though. So I'm hoping I'm good. Thanks guys
