Lately I've been feeling like it's just impossible to please every coral in the tank. All of a sudden a few of my SPS corals decided to retract their polyps. At the same time I have a single blasto that looks to have 3-4 heads growing off it, a ricordia that split, a mushroom that split twice, a torch coral that looks to have 4-5 heads beginning to spawn and a hammer that is growing rapidly. I also have a nicely colored blue mushroom that looked beautiful for the first couple of weeks and is now shrunken up, a bird of paradise that grows insanely and a neon green birdsnest that is also branching out pretty quick. Is this just a case of adding a bunch of random corals to a tank and wondering why they don't all thrive? Or, should I just get used to the fact that they're all temperamental and I should just hang in there for the long run?
