Anything in the name of sustainability is great, but I highly doubt people are going to pay extra when you can get a regular yellow tang pretty cheap that is relatively hardy already. Although, they're probably years away from breeding these guys like we breed clownfish though.
They will be pricey at first but then become supper cheap after everyone starts breeding them. Just like clowns. I will be Interested in there change in behavior if any. Tanks raised clowns act different then wild caught
They shouldve gone for the jugular & bred gem tangs.
Theoretically should be as easy as yellows since they are in the same genus. Then you could hybrid with other zebramosas: desjar/sailfin, yella, scopas (not worth it), black, purple.
