cardinal fish died

ok, so i glance over at the tank and my 4 stripe cardinal is kinda flipping in circles, i go to investigate and he goes nuts. swims all around the tank as fast as he can and then dies with his mouth wide open.
thoughts on why?
everything else is fine, just worried about my other fishies. going to do an autopsy to see if maybe he choked, i did feed a few minutes prior too this event.

nothing much i could see. when looking down the mouth, the stomach seemed to be pushing out. gills were clear of parasites, nothing noticeable in the stomach other than it appearing to be coming out of the mouth a bit.

Sounds like another case of swim bladder. I've been seeing this issue lately. Did you just feed the fish before this happened?

i had fed probably 10 minutes before it happened. i've had the fish over 2 months. i bought 4, 3 still alive and well.
