Hello,

I've only had a FOWLR tank so here's a question.

I got 2 CF 65w with 50/50 bulbs from a friend (30" and 24"). What corals (shrooms?) could I keep with these and in what size tank? These are single strip Coralifes.

I don't want anything too fancy just something to start and try my hand at corals.

Thanks

Mushrooms, palys, zoo's and other the only thing I have noticed is that with those lights it is hard to keep the colors.

There are lots of corals you can keep and will do well under pc lights. I have kept lps, some sps, and softies under pc lights. Coral placement is key when it comes to the lights. You could also try some of the nps corals such as duncans, and dendros although they are a bit more expensive for starting out. Xenia, Kenya tree, ricordias, mushrooms, and leathers would all be ok. But even some of the stuff listed here and in previous posts may need a bit more light than what you are going to be using, depending on the size and depth of the tank.

but he only has 130w of light... if he would've had like 260W of pc light that would've been different...

That is why I said it would depend on the size and depth of the tank. I wanted to show that it is possible to keep different corals under pc's but you have to have the right amount of pc for what you want to keep. I should have been a little clearer in my reply.
