So I picked this up about 4 months ago, I have not noticed any growth. Decent color, feeder extension is good. Anyhow, any ideas what it's called?

i never measured par.. LOL... i just know that when they're browned out... either water params or too much light... it's not that bad... but i would put it in the shade for a while... if you blast it with way too much light, it will bleach... don't know if you're 150 par is a lot or a little... i don't know if you're rocking LED's or t5's... their numbers are very complicated and weird because light doesn't come from one single source...

i miss everyone using metal halides... LOL... everyone had the same par back then...

tip... chalice do way better on the floor... doesn't matter what type of light or par you have... the sand bed is where they belong...

Omg yes I finally get to tell gumbi he is wrong.... Most chalices are not found on the sand. The high majority are found on angled slopes of rock as it allows for their mantle to stretch out. My chalices have always grown quicker when off the sand. Most are found in overhangs and clefts. So reproduce how they are naturally found n keep em off your sand.....

150 is kind of strong for a chalice. it would do better about half that. Looks like a nice chalice though!

Moved as close to the sand bed as possible, dumb pistol shrimp will bury anything near the bottom. Still not growing... but not dead. Winning.
