Changing DI resin

So according to the color change in my BRS color changing DI resin my resin went bad a month ago. But according to my TDS meter it is still good. My RO outlet reads 5 ppm and my DI outlet reads 0 ppm. So I'm going to wait until the DI reads 1 ppm before I change it out. Does anybody else notice the premature color change in their BRS DI resin? What are your thoughts on when to change DI resin?

I wait until it says 1. The color change will be more for people who don't have a tds meter.

I didn't really think about the people who don't have a TDS meter. My initial thought was they make it change color early to get me to buy more resin sooner. Lol.
