Dude. Go to chat, open the archives...
Grab some aspirin and have a seat, though, as it's a looooong read...
And a tedious one.
Basically, someone's been using chat to spam the hell out of everyone... And everyone's tired of it.
So, here we have a little revolt... And the mods have heard our pleas and are taking action!

Perhaps, Tom, but you may want to note that it's not an elected position... It's MikeEe's site, and his decision as to who does what.
Not that it matters but I tossed my hat in the ring a few months ago, if anything to try to keep chat in check. I guess my reputation preceded me, though, so it was not to be...

yea, it's a pita, but if you get an idea of about what time of day, it is easier...
BUT, this is not about spam. There is an agenda to make life hell for someone as they feel he has screwed them .
So it is a tit for tat type of game to see who can upset or provoke a response from someone else.....
it is typical internet forum BS, except this has been going on for more then a year and half between the same two or three people saying the same two or three thing over and over... ultimately ending with ariel telling everyone to behave or else...
but you are correct, it is not worth it to actually go back and find anything that would enlighten you to the entire issue or even the root issue...
MAybe someone will pm you and fill you in...

if you were to IGNORE him, (and me), I would see that clearly as your being civil. (as would oh so many others that are currently discussing / complaining about currently).
But, i am sure that logic is lost on you as well.
BTW: again, although you state your intention is not stirring the pot, clearly, you couldnt possibly stir the pot if you didnt reply!!!
Isnt that the point of all the recent threads. Folks dont want to keep on seeing this.. Do you really think they havent seen your points, (and mine)???

If it is spam, let the mods deal with it like they deal with other spammers. Or have you recognized that the only 'teeth' the mods seem to have and display are on spammers, so yuo use that as your battle cry hoping that it falls into thier category of moderator controls they seem to wield?
And your previous messages indicate that this was JUST about SPAM. now it is unacceptable behaviour...
Clearly that is the subject here in these recent threads. What is acceptable? People are starting threads to complain about what has been seemingly acceptable, at least from the viewpoint of members who see moderators being inneffective and or allowing this to continue???

Take a position, either accept what the mods do or dont do, and either stay or go.. (depending on your own personal level of tolerance of the so called un-acceptable behavior..)
But, be advised although you claim to not intend on stirring the pot, you keep on doing it, even in these threads with each reply you make.

I for one find it hilarious how incredibly desperate some people are to sway other people's opinions.
