About to set up a check valve so I can turn off my return pump for water changes with out having it syphon on me.
I have tubing for plumbing and I'm unsure of what size check valve to buy, if there even is sizes.
How would I go about adapting the check valve if there were not alternate sizes?
Any help or experience would be helpful.
Again, trying to put a check valve in my return tube, from return pump.

Use the same size as your plumbing. So if its 1" then use a 1" check valve, so on and so on

What do you mean run my return high?
I mean for your return outlet to be close to the top of the water. That way, when the pump is off and it starts to siphon, it will suck air from the surface and the siphon will stop.
