Recently got a cleaner.. and did amazing right out of the gate. But I think my tangs are overwhelming him. They literally lineup around him all day.. and now it seems like he's stopped accommodating then like he was before.. not that they have stopped stalking him! Lol
Should I get a second cleaner? Are there better in pairs in larger tanks w a lot of fish?
I've got 4 big tangs, 3 big wrasse ( plus cleaner) 3 clowns, a Mandy , a potters angel and a citron goby. Though not all fish bother him.. mostly tangs and the wrasse even ( which kinda surprises me)

Your wrasses will destroy a cleaner shrimp right?

Hopefully you can find a or some cleaner wrasses that eat other than parasites because I've had them starve after two weeks when there's nothing "else" for them to eat. Might be great candidates for a qt setup before going in the big tank.

This guy I got from a breakdown.. he's been in tank over 18 months and eats pellet and mysis as well. My wrasse killed my cleaner shrimp but not my fire shrimp .. I'm assuming they killed the cleaners cause I haven't seen em in a couple months.
I wonder if the little wrasse is getting overworked by himself ..

Multiple cleaners is a no, they will kill each other. Just let them be. My cleaner cleans when he feels likes it they will get over it and actually hate when they get cleaned and chase him.

It's really pretty funny.. seeing them swim up and play dead in front of him.. and he's like 'Nah.." swims away and they go right after him and hover on their sides. Reminds me of my club days.. poor pitiful lurkers.
