Anybody here use clearview lids?

I was interested in getting a 2 piece for WB 180.5 but they said they cant do a cut out on two separate pieces for the overflow

I wanted to get sections since it is a 5 foot tank, I currently have a diy red sea and its just super janky and doesnt look good at all

Since I know the Pisces is good since it is the most expensive, for my needs it comes out to $430 before tax and shipping so it would basically be $500
Classic comes out to $355 pre tax in total like $430
Tsunami comes out to $332 pretax in total like $405

Just wanted to see if anybody had experiences with the tsunami or classic?

Kraken Reef also makes very nice lids. I was going to try them for my next build. That said, I own Top Lids and ClearView currently for my 180g, 65g, and 45g. Happy with them both.

Did that cover make a difference in evaporation? Do you happen to have a pic of it by chance? Been curious about those
i'll try to take a pic later

tbh i rarely use the evap cover lol, i got it since i was getting a kitten and the breed is known to be quite the jumpers and i was worried she'd get up above the tank or jump on the tank and go right through my old crappy screen top. naturally she doesn't seem interested in the tank at all hence i rarely have it on

during the winter the evap cover is nice since it seems to help keep heat in. i won't be running it this summer since it gets so hot here

Try Matt at Octo Aquatics. He makes awesome lids, but they're not cheap. Just make sure whoever makes your lids that it's made from Polycarbonate.

Check out OctoAquatics, Matt makes custom lids to order. He may be able to get what you want done. I have two of his lids (one on each tank) and they are made really well.

I can get you some pictures a bit later if you are interested.

how long is your tank? thats the issue with ordering mine right now. If I order stock its a lot cheaper but its gonna be 1 section lid, which is 5ft, the amount of sag would be ridiculous

Jumping back on that topic since my tank is looking to be more of a long term option

Seems like Im most likely going to go with clearview lids as there options are alot cheaper than top lids
only thing that is weird to me is that clearview wont do a 2 section lid with tanks that have a center overflow but top lids does 2 lids on all tanks 4ft and up I believe

So I gotta get a custom 3 section lid from them and which I have to pay for the overflow cutout ($21) but if I had just ordered the stock option for my tank it automatically comes with a cutout for the overflow no extra charge

Tsunami $316
Classic $350
Pisces EXO $438

Between these 3 styles, Pisces seems to be the most popular I guess cause the vented frame, I dont know how much extra it helps with gas exchange since its only like 2" inwards and not having the condensation build up is plus as well

Between the Tsunami and classic theyre almost the same besides one being a solid frame and other being modular, I would assume the modular would be more expensive but i guess not, the only downside i can see to the modular design is the build of condensation and then getting salt creep in between the interlocking sections

what do you guys think about their lids and which option would you go with?

My tank was 72”x40” so they were huge panels if you tank is under 36 front to back it would be completely fine in my opinion to go with tsunami
