I just bought 2 clownfish 3 days ago and now the smaller one is in the corner.. He is not eating and he is swimming straight up .. He has long stringy poop too if anyone can help I would appreciate it
Did u acclimate the fish before putting it in. I think your fish will be fine. Clown fish are one of the strongest fish in a reef tank. I say leave it alone and let it ride out. There is nothing you can do at this point. Anything you may try may stress out the fish even more. Is there things in the fish tank where the fish can hide? I think its just stress. Eating is a great sign that the fish is doing ok. Check your temp too. 78-80 is good
If the fish has long stringy poop, then it has either a bacterial or intestinal parasite infection. U will need to qt it and dose some prazipro. I've been through it once before. My clown made a full recovery.
badFish- I drip acclimated the fish .. The fish have hiding places wq and temp are good..
It looked like he was doing okay then I just got home and he was on the sand not moving much I gave him a freshwater dip And now he's doing backflips and I just checked and he is flopping around on the sand.. I think it is too late for him or should I try to qt him?

if a fish has some sort of parsite a quick freshwater dip will get the parasite to jump off the fish. But if your fish was just stressed out the dip might have stressed him out even more. It always sucks losing fish, but it is gonna happen
