co2 regulator help

My co2 regulator seem to be missing this piece but I dont know what is it. Ever time I open the nob the gas seems to be going out that way..does anybody know where I can get a replacement? Dont want to spend the money on new regulator. Thnx

Do you open the knob all the way on the regulator first, before you open the Co2 tank knob?

That looks like the pressure relief valve. Any welding gas store should be able to replace it fairly cheap

No, I didn't is that what is causing the co2 to come out that way?
Yes, so try that out. First make sure the needle valve is closed. Then open the valve on the reg till it's a little loose then slowly open the Co2 tank. You'll see the gauges read. Then slowly tighten the knob on the reg till you get the psi you want. Once that is done, slowly open the needle valve to fine tune, wait and watch. Hope this helps.
