Hello All,

I have a custom built co2 regulator with one of the precision style parker needle valves. I was swiching out my empty bottle and I messed something up on this. It now leaks and burning thru Co2. After my seleniod I have a male threaded outlet. the next peice is a female inlet on both ends. this piece spins in the center. then the needle valve connects. I think it is the part in between the selenoid and the needle valve is leaking but I have no idea where to find this part at. picture coming soon of this for better description.
Any help on this would be appreciated
Thanks in advance.

I think there's a thread on RC about building them, which should have the parts listed. If not, you can contact Alan Le, he might be able to help you? His contact info should be in that thread. He built my regulator.

Alan only replies to texts usually, so contact him directly and he should get back to you.

Depending on the needle valve it may be a Swagelok brand fitting. That brand uses a unique tube and ferrule type connection. I got parts on Ebay as most industrial retailers have minimum orders and tend to sell in box quantities. Post a pic, might be able to help id or direct you to a site where you can measure and confirm sizes.

If it's leaking from a connection, just tighten it. They are all compression fittings. Unless your connection is cracked, it'll seal up once tightened

do you know what that part may be called i need? I can not find it in a search. thanks in advance
When you switched it off the old bottle did you take the whole thing apart or just switch it out. There should be a fiber or nylon washer between the regulator and bottle those do need to be switched out. Them make look fine to reuse but there not.
Rad64003969. Airgas does not carry parts for these style regulator.

Thanks for your response. the o ring was not switched out. however i can feel the co2 leak between the fittings in the picture. I have no clue how to tighten this as the center part slides back and forth between both of the compression nuts.

There is a Parker store Burnell Hydraulics in Riverside and one in Colton. They could ID and provide replace fittings.

I think that swivel is made up of a 1/8 FPT x 1/4 stand pipe and the compression nut and olive to the needle valve. Can’t be sure without taking apart.

Could even be a tube connected with a compression nut and olive on each side.

I deal more with hydraulics in larger sizes.

Yes there's a coupler inside. I've built dozens of these regulators. Take a wrench and turn the nut below clockwise. You'll feel the swivel getting tight and it won't move or leak once it's tighten. Takes 5 seconds to do. Don't need to be handy. Don't need to be a genius. You either 1 loosen it up if you go the wrong way or 2 you tighten it if you go the right way
