Cooling fans

I picked up some fans on eBay for just under $40 to help deal with the summer months. The install was very easy I just locked in on to the back of my tank and tilted them down a bit towards the water. I then plugged it into my apex and set it to come on at 81.5*. I know that's kinda high but I don't think I will be able to keep it under 80 in the summer time. so far it works great. As soon as it hits 81.5 the fans drop it back down to 79 then turn off. I'm trying to keep the tank in that range. I'm thinking maybe I will try doing 80-81 so the won't be a much fluctuation in the temp. So for anybody with a smaller tank not wanting to get a chiller I think the fans are a great option.

They don't feel very powerful but there very quiet and Seem to do the job

yes. I have also had to back off the Kalk a bit because of the extra evaporation
