My Tank Build
#6
Hey Jess how is that?
The last 2 CBB I've purchased I've kept alive and they don't eat corals. My last CBB did pick at clams tho. But he never did once eat corals.
I successfully kept him for over 2 years. Until one day when I added to many fish at one time and cause the CBB to stop eating.
This new CBB I have had for going on 4 months. He's putting on weight and eats like a pig. He even eat from my hands and lefts me touch him/pick him up. I got him cause I was having an aptaisa problem. At first he would touch aptaisas and I was po'ed. But one day I noticed were starting to disappear. With in 3 days he ate every aptaisa in a 300 gallon.

Soon he will have a double chin like my tangs.
Word of advice
Don't buy a small one. I've never had a small one live. I'm not sailing it can't be done but the small CBB seem so much more delicate.
Also u better have a lot of rock work for the CBB to feed off until u can get him trained to eat frozen foods. The CBBs main source of food will be tube works until he can get trained to eat other foods.

Hey thanks for the advice. I guess I won't go for the tiny ones.

I bought a small copperband and he is doing great. Mr copper has been with me for almost 2 years now. He has no problem competing for food. My tank is a 100 gal with minimal rockscape, so it can be done. I do feed live black worms daily and he will eat them right out of my fingers.

Just bought 1 from Happy Fish In Brea off Imperial Hwy. I am hoping it eats what I want it to eat. I was there yesterday and they still had 1 left...
