you need:
1.egg crate-available at home depot (i have extra)-$10 for a 2'x4'

2.lee's airline holders-available at lfs-$2.99 for 6

3.dikes-available at tool store (or whatever you want to use to cut egg crate)

step 1: cut the size you want.

step 2: attach the airline holders.(they pop on and stay, with no glue)

step3: load it up!

OPTION #2:

zoomed industrial mag clip-$4.95 each at PETCO

step1: cut the clips off the threaded post (these clips will not hold the egg crate)

the threaded post, after cutting

step2: drill hole the size of the threaded post into the egg crate (you can use glue, this will last longer)

step3: push threaded post through hole

step4: screw magnet back onto threaded post, this will lock it in place on the egg crate

step5: load it up!

*please note that i have extra egg crate i will not be needing, if you'd like some come by and get it, donations of whatever type are welcome, but not required.
thank you and i hope this is helpful

Thanks for the idea...it looks better than gluing eggrate to a magnet cleaner and you can actually extend the length towards the other corner for more room and stability.

Magnet cleaners aren't that great looking, but those suction cups will eventually fail causing the frags to fall:(

if u want u could use some eggcrate to make some legs to help support the weight. Just cut a length the size from the sand to rack, zipties and then u got legs.

Great idea! I was trying to think of something to use for holding some eggcrate against the glass. Currently I have a rack sitting on some PVC fittings.

Nice rack. I always wanted to do that but was always afraid that they'd fall eventually.

Here's my floating rock done with algae-free magnet and tunze nylon screws.

THis is a good post for nano keepers. I always wanted to have a frag rack but never had the space and didnt want to invest in a frag tank. I did option 2 and it worked out great. You should market these.

nice little demo Jonathan, I definitely like the magnet option.

I'm actually writing to inquire about the little yellow polyps in the 8th picture. I had some of those and really liked them, but they just disappeared :hmmmm: and I would love to get them back. Any chance you still have them for future fragging? TIA :)

Dood, I have tons of the yellow polyps in my tank i am trying to get rid of.
I am willing to frag you out some if you want to come pick it up. My only request is, find me a place where i can get those mag clips, cause i went to about 5 petcos and i didnt find any. Where did you get them jon?
