Any suggestions on low heat pump for this tank? I'm running a coralife s1000, two hydor powerheads, coralife biocube skimmer(yes I know it's worthless skimmer) and a Marineland 150w heater. I leave the temp on 77 and it always stays around 77.9 to 79.5. Trying to keep it a stable 78. It's a mixed reef, lots of flow( 425& 750PH), and a kessil a350w turned only to 50% max about 9" above the surface with a goose neck.
So my main question is how to maintain a stable temp without a chiller( I have the heater in chamber 1 btw)
Also please chime in on any suggestions or experiences with nanos

Sometimes the thermostat in the heater is off try turning it down 2 degrees and see if it drops. If not then you need to find what device such as pump is generating too much heat. I have a mixed with Lps and lots of sps I keep it anywhere between 75 to 78

Find it hard to believe a pump is runing that hot but 79 isn't bad I wouldn't worry bout it as long as it doesn't go above 80 your fine

I made the plunge and got a chiller. It's nice to have, especially if your combating heat during the colder parts of the year.. Good luck finding an answer. Wouldn't mind knowing myself =]

Yeah I have a fan too but no controller. Sometimes I accidentally leave it on for a few hours and drop the temp down to 75 or 76. I don't want that big of a swing I'm trying to grow out my frags
