Okay so if it's a brand new bulb did you re-acclimate your corals to the new bulb.

I use to run 250 single ended Radiums and replaced them once every 12-18 months and I would either cut my light time by 40-60 percent for several weeks and gradually bring it up to the normal run time (10 hours). And or raise the lights an extra 4-8". New bulbs also mean more intensity and if I didn't do this id bleach corals and kill them.

As for grounding probe. I think I read an article of someone saying that if you have a probe you will never detect stray voltage (could be wrong) ...but I rather have my fish fish and corals die (sorry) than me getting electrocuted.

Lighting is 250w radium new bulb in the last 2 months

Stray current comment.... I read some stuff a while back you do not want to have a grounding probe... I don't remember the whole thing

My tangs are all fine and don't show lateral line disese which is usually associated with stray current aswell I believe

I would check at night for anything going after your corals, Peppermint Shrimp can get a taste for coral and will start irritating it and eating the death off the edges. Magnets are a good thing to check for as well and I have had magnets swell and split on Vortech pumps, and even on Tunze. All magnets should be checked. RODI can be zero TDS and still have Chloro-mines. You need to test your make up water with a Free Chlorine test kit. I had a decline a few years back and attribute it to Golden State adding Chloromines to the water. I run 2 BRS Universal Chloromin Carbon blocks now and the problem has gone. On my fresh make up water you could smell the Chlorine in the water, just a hint of it. Bio Pellets, in my opinion they can lower your nutrients and feed the bad bacteria in your tank. I would highly recommend getting rid of them to anyone loosing LPS! Water change is always good advice when you are having problems dilute your tank with fresh Salt, the more the better. Also A Triton test for $45 is a great way to see if there is something way off in your water. I do not run Halides any more, but I have splashed water and broke the outer glass UV shield off of them and this can hurt your coral as well. Just Shotgunning, but I would do all this to a failing tank.
