Crab in new sponge.

Im acclimating a sponge and i just noticed theres a crab living inside it. I dont want this crab. Any way to get it out without harming the sponge?

Maybe a symbiotic crab...does it look kewl? Any evidence it is hurting the sponge? Post a pic and let the jury decide if you keep it.

Well there is a hole in the sponge, big enough for the crab to be living in it... Who knows if he made the hole or just crawled in. Looks like a gorilla crab or something, its got really hairy legs. I dont really like crabs to begin with anyway, i want to get him out of the sponge before i put this in my tank. Anyone know how?

You could try luring him out with some shrimp. I had a cute white hairy crab that would wait to be hand fed... but he disappeared

From glendora ocean marine sales. I also got a gorgonian for a pretty good price, but managed to break the crap out of it while transferring it to my tank, along with breaking a piece off my JOE the coral. Im so graceful!

Nice! I love the gorg! I'm to lazy to keep them though... I have enough mouths to feed daily. Lol

Glad to know the Lindsey love is still getting spread around the socali reefers tanks! It's almost like I'm still there in spirit!
