Crazy stuff going on in my reef tank

I was in n the living room. Looked over at my tank and there was tons of little dots everywhere. I went up to investigate and saw all these little things swimming around my tank. Not sure if it was a ton of pods coming out of my sump or something had baby's. They were some bodies with little tails. My fish made very quick work of them and within a minute they all got eaten. I don't have any fish that would have laid eggs but that's exactly what they looked like. I tried to get a video but there so small. Anybody know what they were????

Nope. Just a cleaner and a fire shrimp

Hmmm well something spawned. Had peppermint shrimps do that once and they looked similar to what you described. Oh well free snacks for the tank lol!

Your shrimp most likely spawned if what happened looks like this. Most of them ended up in my refugium.

Good source of food for the fish!! I have a fire shrimp & 2 peppermint in my tank, not sure which ones are spawning but I get that about once a month
