Hey what's up guys so I'm thinking of doing my upgrade soon and I've stumbled upon them

I believe they are the new owners of leemar

I'm thinking of getting a 36x30x16

Was wondering if anyone has seen one in person or know anyone with one

And what are your thoughts about them?

Build time is about 3 weeks and it's build in Oceanside

I can let you know soon, Aaron at the SPS Coral Store ordered me my first Crystal Dynamic tank a few weeks back. I have 4 Leemar tanks and I am hoping they have similar build quality.

I have a 120 (48x 24x 24x) by Crystal dynamics. Love the tank and the stand just as much. Check out my build thread for pics of it (haven't updated the thread much though)

I saw them at one of the aquarium expo awhile back and the build quality is similar to Leemar. As for stand, i would like them to come up with a more simple modern design.

I own a Leemar tank and love it. You will not be disappointed with Crystal Dynamics tank. If you have the $$$, i would go for it.

What light fixture are you planning to run over the tank?

Following. I have read a few bad things about the quality on RC as well as I have heard the same from some LFS around the area.

They let me custom design my stand. Literally as plain or fancy as I wanted it

Good idea to let them know you expect perfection and that you want to inspect it at the shop before they wrap it up and load it into your truck. Most small manufacturing outfits will have a large variance in the level of quality unless they have a solid QA/QC system in place. If you make it known that you are going to eyeball it and reject it at their facility if it's not up to par, you can bet your build will get special attention.

Both Crystal Dynamics and SC Aquariums (both good local tank builders) will be at the MAX show this April in full force (both will be displaying in large Quad 20x20 booths) so come see and speak with the actual owners in person!

Decided to go with crystal dynamics

I went with

•36x28x17
•Sapphire font glass
•Black back
•Black silicon
•Holes drilled for synergy ghost overflow

Owners allowed me to pick up the tank and inspect to make sure everything is top notch

The process is 22 days for the silicon to cure then 7 days leak test before it can realesed to me

Super excited for this
