Anybody know where in LA I can get one done? Im in the process of setting up my new tank but I don't want to use the sump I have & don't want a custom acrylic that will break the bank.

A custom glass may cost as much or more as a custom acrylic, no? I am going to be getting a tank built by Precision Aquariums, they only deal with glass. I asked them if they could make a sump like Advanced Acrylics Alpha series and he said yes but it would cost more.

805reef not sure I always thought glass was cheaper. I would like something simple but want it to fit prefect under my stand. Im waiting for measurement of a sump posted here but if that doesnt work out i'll try to build my own.

Check with Precision Aquariums (Ventura). No middleman needed.

I have them building me a couple of things - price was similar to acrylic.

glass sump is fragile vs acrylic... make sure if you want the glass. once it's set up it's no worries but, when you move it around you've to be super cautious it can chip and break off on corners and they're far heavier then the acrylic. Just my 2 cents. as for me, i will not buy glass sump anymore.

Reason im going with glass is because I want to add a display fuge & acrylic scratches a lot. Right now I have an acrylic sump but I dont like how it fits under my stand.
