How long did you wait to see if the changes worked? Sometimes it takes a while to get rid of it after you get everything right.

Also, what kind of salt are you using? Sometimes with natural seawater or bad saltmixes you will get cyano.

I ust to have a really bad cyano problem and did a lot of stuff to fix it. I use cyano remover i used phosphate pads, more flow less lighting, I also tried charcoal for a few weeks which helped big time and stayed up with water changes. Try a few different things and give it time. Also when doing water changes make sure you remove as much of the cyano as possiable.

What I did for my cyno problem was to not turn on the light for 2-3 day, however, my tank at the moment is fish/crab/shrimp/snail tank

did all that... i even put snails in there so they could eat cyano.. which they did at first and then they stopped...

Yes, turn off, sorry. I wrote that late last night after I had to do an emergency water change and sand cleaning. (My two turbos died and one of my other snails started to just not look right. as well, my fishes were acting off)

check ro, if not that, turn off lights for a few days, quit feeding the tank for a few days, and make water changes. siphon as much as you can, skim...skim...i did this and my cyano problem was gone. I had a really bad case of it too.
