Since no one is saying it I’m just going to say it myself. SCR in its current form is worst than STN, RTN and AEFW combined!!!
Messages cutting off (and no I’m not on tapatalk), stagnant front page, sponsors not even on anymore, heck...I don’t even see that many posts at all for that matter, sale threads or not. This used to be bookmarked as my go to page even ahead of RC and R2R. Now it’s just a slow death.
Please somebody wake the F up and make this site good again.

Yeah it has been dead lately. Maybe a new thread every few days. Part of the problem is obviously the messages being cut short but I think the other portion has a lot to do with photobucket taking away sharing images for free. It used to be easy to copy paste a link and edit/crop photos. Uploading directly to the site, the pic quality just isn't the same and half the time come out sideways.

We all love to stare at coral and fish, part of the draw of scrolling through the forum. Not sure if there is a way to make a better uploaded for the site but I think that would help a ton along with resolving the message issue. Seems like it's just this site.

I hope people realize there are photo upload sites out there other than Photobucket..
Imgur for example works perfectly fine and even generates the HTML code for you so you just copy and paste.
But I totally agree this forum is dead. All it's good for is the marketplace. But even that is pretty slow.

The upsetting thing is that it is not the tapatalk clients that are necessarily the problem.
While updating to a newer version can, in some cases, remedy the problem, the problem is actually in the phpbb scripting, and with a reinstall to the latest version would fix the problem with all versions of tapatalk.
While this site does not charge money to its social members, the onus of updating a client should not be on the client handler, but on the service provider, in all cases.

That's why I've been posting more. I think I've posted more this year than all the years prior together. But to think that Southern California Reefers/ReefCentral is better is wrong. To me it's nothing more than a reefers Craigslist. I can only view. Banned since 2002 I think. And for life. I see more conversation on here than there. If those on there would move to here which is a REAL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA REEFER site. Ii's called SOCALIREEFS. Not a SUB forum of another forum. This place would be hopping. I don't get it.
I have seen a ReefCentral mod lurking on here from time to time. He likes Eagles. Sabotage?
A community is only as good as the residents. Where do you reside? This does seem to be the island of misfit reefers banned from RC. But there are better sites than RC too. They just aren't local.
