I can't be the only one who notices that the majority of these clownfish have weird body shapes. Has anybody noticed this as well?

From fins to head and mouth, they look "off". they aren't shaped nicely at all. I'm sure those that have some will disagree.

If so, please post some pictures.

edit: they look so "uncomfortable"

it's all about genetics man... especially all of these breeders only breeding for color... it's a very bad thing... here's an example... a great example...

the serama chicken.... check this out... they would breed these little chickens for their body type/shape and health... this is the original serama ayam..

their feather quality, coloration and plumage is complete garbage... well, compared to other american show chickens... their genetics are so messed up too when it comes to color.. two black chickens will have hundreds of other combinations of colors... anyways... only 600 of them were imported to the US by some dude named jerry... he then hyped them up and started selling them for a ton of money... also... he didn't realize that what the dudes sent the US were all of their culls... not one of them were show chickens... they were all fat and ugly.... like this....

complete garbage... color is nice, but not show quality... so the people that have them i the US (jerry) made a council of serama and they made up the standards of perfection.. because they didnt' have any of the really nice birds from malay, then they made whatever they had show quality... it's so dumb... and now because of the show standards, you can't take a bird that isn't recognized by color... so people started breeding to get black, white, columbian and other colors... but they have to breed true... so, now, two white serama will make 100% white serama offspring... all in two years...

all by line breeding... let me get a picture of line breeding....

this was what i would follow to make show birds... you breed back into the original birds over and over again.. it's not only chickens.. dogs too... i know these high end german shephards that are line bred... it's sad... they make some nice dogs, but c'mon... it's so sad... now the serama people are dealing with disorders in chickens like stargazing, wryneck, crooked beak, duck foot, even missing wings.. they're so deformed that some are born without a wing... that's so sad... serama came to the country like 7 years ago... all of these deformities and problems have been showing 6 years ago...

now imagine fish...? like the long fin, lightning clown... all of them morphs all came from one fish... they had to be bred back to one another... breeders don't care about the health or type of the fish as long as the color is there... one fancy clown with a plain clown only makes so many fancy clowns... now, if they get one of the sons that are both fancy colors, then you'll get 100% fancy right..? even though they are closely related...

it's cool that people are tank raising fish... but designer fish are losing what makes a clownfish a clownfish...

first pics of alpha chickens are def head turners since its looks like somebody snapped their necks back. last chicken looks like a normal chicken.

obviously genetics come into play. i've always wondered why their "looks" weren't brought up though. i guess it's a touchy subject since money is involved.

googling desinger clown fish brings up some awful looking clownfish for sure. tiny head with deformed mouth with a block for a body. experiments gone wrong.

edit: so many variations...big head....humpback looking salmon clownfish
