So while at the MAX show I had a chance to talk with the Digital Aquatics rep about there new Archon system. Has anyone had a chance to use this hands on yet? Seems so simple to use and program and it it wifi capable. Im a dummy when it comes to controllers so just looking for people who have used it and can profide some feed back.

I was talking with them also and was very surprised with the Archon product!
The biggest thing they mentioned that was in the works was going to be wireless PB8's(outlet bars) so you can have outlet bars in different rooms without running cables to connect them..

Also like their dosing pump modules...

I really like that it's a open source linux based controller. Being able to customize your controller for your needs is a +1 in my book.:clap2:

That looks pretty good. Would be amazing if you don't have to run a cable between the energy bars. Big kick in the cajones for Neptune if DA is able to get that done.

I have to say though that the user interface of the Archon looks like DOS 1.0 :) What's up with that? They need to make it more hipster and clean looking. Just sayin

I had an apex and could never get anyone on the phone and I suck at coding. Besides I dont have to pay for this one lol
Why do you get to try it for free?

I like the apex cause I have it all working... but running Linux, open source and wireless EB's sounds verrrrrry interesting!

Wireless sounds awesome, but I hope the outlet boxes have flash ram to store some the program and only uses the WiFi to feed back info, not requiring the box to do the programing.

It would suck if power went out and the wireless outlet just stops.

if the power went out the outlets wouldn't have power...

unless its plugged into an UPS. Maybe it has a feature like apex has FALLBACK

not necessarily.

i'm not talking about a full power outtage of the entire house. what if you're power cycling the router?

a lot of people have verizon, where their receiver is also the wireless router. i wonder if it still works if the verizon data is compromised in any way.
