Distilled water from walmart and phosphate

Ok so I tested the TDS from the distilled water from walmart it was 0 TDS, but what I was wondering if Zero TDS does that mean there is 0 Phosphate or should phosphate be tested. Reason why I asked this is because I started to mix my own two part using the bottles that came with the distilled water, like all of a sudden I get hair algae. Does anyone know if theres phosphate when TDS reads 0?

Its hard to say, might as well test it you'll never know.

lol well its to late I already dumped it in and now I have hair algae for the past year no algae before 0_o

What the tank size?

110 gal plus a 50 gal sump about 3/4 full so I estimate about 130 gal +/- dissplacement of rocks

I'm always suspicious of Walmart, it wouldn't surprise me if the water WAS pure but the jug was leeching out nasties into it. Have you tried any local LFSs? all the ones in my area sell RO water and it is much cheaper for a gallon without the jug.

I have my own rodi its just one day I had a few bottles left over from my camping trip and I decided to use it for my tank and because I checked for TDS being 0 I thought no harm done.

0 tds does not mean 0 po4. I would test the po4 and then determine if i put the water into the tank. I dont trust Wally world lol!!!

I wonder if RODI will have PO4 as well

Most likely Rodi will have more po4 but I guess the quality of the filters will determine some what that.
