Stumbled across this great article that could save us all millions. Simple as hell diy dosing. I know I was always afraid of using random products but looks like these people are smart enough to know what is OK for the reef tank. Sorry brs.

I'm definitely going to try it. Before I never wanted to do the 2 part just becuse additives are annoying to buy and expensive sometimes. But this looks dirt cheap and would probably last you year

Randys 2 part has been around for a long time... that is where BRS got the recipe from I'm sure...

With that a few years ago I think there was a change with the dow flake(I think it was the dow flake) and how it was manufactured. Randy did some work to try to find out if the new ingredients/processs in it would be safe for tanks and I'm not sure what the outcome of it was.
