Decided to get back into the hobby. I picked up a Mr. Aqua 32 gallon.

A few pics of the overflow and stand I made.



Made this sump out of scrap that I picked up from sd plastics for $2

I know I needed a cover for the tank but did not want anything that could be seen or take a way the rimless look. I had a bunch of scrap acrylic so I made this cover. I used the router to make a lip and a grove for screen spline. I was very satisfied with the looks of this and now I don't have to worry about fish jumping out. And it costs me less than 15 bucks to make.

Nice build! Question: do you have check valves on your returns? If something ever happened to your return pump, your tank could drain almost half way without them. I'm speaking from experience on this one lol

Thanks! I do have a check valve but if that were to fail there is enough room in the sump for the water that would drain.
