I've had this question stuck in my head and I've seen different answers.

I took out my pump 2 weeks ago from my saltwater mix container. Is it still good? I personally have used water that's been stagnant for 1 week and have seen no negative effects.

Is it necessary to put a pump? why/why not?

Yes I keep a powerhead in my mixing barrel running all the time. In case of any emergency I will have saltwater ready. I only do a water change once every 2 week also.

I think but im not sure that your water after 2 weeks is still good though with no water movement....
