I don't use a company but my bf is kind of like my maintenance guy LOL!!! He does my water changes for me and all the "dirty" work for my tank lol! Gotta love him!!

I think I appreciate my tank more because it's success is a direct result of my efforts. I don't mind water changes.

I don't use one because I doubt any service company will take as meticulous care of my tank as I do. Also, I am not fond of the thought of having some service guy come inside my home every 2 weeks or so. If I had a larger tank (500+ maybe?), I would probably considering using one. Or if the tank is set up in a business.

I did have catalina water delivered to me many years back when I first setup a 300 gallon tank as it was too much water for me to make with my little 75GPD RO.

i've only used an aquarium service once, when my bulkheads started leaking and my room flooded because of it, it was too much for me to handle and i was more than happy to have the pros come take care of it, i was very happy with the service.

but for everything else, i do myself and like everyone said above, take pride in it. my tank wouldn't feel like mine if i didn't put the work and attention i do into it.

i love when people ask me, how much time do you spend on this a week and i'm like hours and then they freak out lol. unfortunately, they don't get it's by choice lol
