Does high PH affect live rock?

Just wondering if I should be concerned with high PH affecting coralline algae growth. Haven't got any test kits yet but with my DIY rock I'm thinking it might be.

what is your PH?

coraline is mostly affected by Ca levels and light...

right now all I know it's above 8.5. I know it's caused by my DIY rock I had a couple of pieces that I kinda rushed to get in my tank. So its from the excess lime. All I have is rock in the tank so I'm not worried about any of the other stuff. Should I just keep doing the weekly 10% WC or work on getting the PH down faster?
