I am speaking of rocks of course. Does it look OK or does it need more rock? Also please ignore the bad light setup I have. Best I can do till I save up some money. uploadfromtaptalk1404009388918.jpg

Looks like enough rock, just try stacking it differently. Looks better then having too much rock thats for sure

"looks" ok, as far as "need" more rock you might. average tank with average bio load usually requires about one pound per gallon of rock and same for sand (give or take a little based on some variables). This helps ensure stability in your biological filtration.

Thanks I know about the whole pound to two pounds per gallon. I might have .75 pounds per gallon. I might get some more rock for the right side. Seems lonely there.

i know it looks empty but on my next build I'm leaning towards a minimalist type of look w/ light bioload. It looks cleaner. To compensate I will build a bigger sump w/ more live rock + oversized skimmer. So to answer your question I like the way it looks :)

you dont need more rock. just try making it look better with what you have. i have about 200 lbs of rock for my 360. just a bigger skimmer if it makes u fell bette, but am sure you can make it look more full if you play around with the rocks

looks good, so far. in my personal taste, i prefer more rock. if you do decide to go with more rock, i would be choosy about it. select rock that have odd shapes & sizes. rock that can be easily chiseled into something else & reshaped. just start collecting your live rock slowly for now & when you feel like you have acquired enough rock, then you can start the aquascaping. hope to have helped. happy reefing.

As far as looks go, I think it's enough. My preferences these days are tall islands but minimalistic. if you feel you need more rock for filtration, throw it in the sump and just rework the rocks in the display

You could use some more rock mass to balance the right side. I may have some extra in a few weeks, I'm currently changing out some LR pieces and have about 15 extra lbs now.

+1 on personal preference. I started with 200+ lbs in my 120 DT. The each time I have rescaped, more has ended up in the sump/fuge. Probably only have around a 100lbs in the DT now. Also used 1/2" PVC to make "framing" for how I wanted to scape the rock.

I agree with this... cove is cool I think it just needs to be a bit higher to give the rockscape some variation.

I actually think your tank looks nice. A more cleaner and less cluttered tank. Until you get more corals that is, but thats just a whole different world

If you want to keep your tank a little more stable i would suggest adding more rock. It seems like you dont have even close to 1LBS per Gallon. If you can try to get closer to that mark you should have better luck with your tank.
