dosing setup on my frag tank

Well I delayed my mt setup in fear of losing coral in the swap.
I'm setting up a a 40 gallon frag tank and 50 gallon sump.
I currently have Calcium reactor on the mt, and kalk dosing at night.
I don't have any experience with dosers and was looking to setup a doser on the frag tank. I'm in between brs doser pumps via my apex or a stand alone unit like a bubble magus or vertex. Also since this would be my only way of dosing. Would I do throughout the whole day or only at night? Any experience with dosers would be appreciated.

I dose using the BRS and apex. My dosers come on once every hour the full 24 hrs. Not at the same time though or you will get precipitation. The first 12 he's is one Doser and the next 12 is the other. Works great for me

U dose 2 part with mag

Ok picked up a ghl doser and brs 2part. I'm kind of worried since I'm used to ca reactors. is it better to dose L24 hrs /day or just at night? Also would you just use straight r.o water for top off or use kalk+

Nick. I dose Kalkwasser mixed with RO water via a BRS dosing pump hooked up to the Apex. I used to dose at night to balance out the pH drop but now do it throughout the day since my dosing amount is fairly minimal so it doesn't fluctuate too much. If you do decide to dose and have it setup on the Apex, I would highly recommend putting in a command where it will shut off the doser if pH reaches a certain level. Here is what I have programmed. Hope it helps.
