Does anyone have dove snails in their tank they are looking to sell or rehome? I am in Chino Hills.

How long has your tank been up? Dove tails are very small, but they do breed, so you don't need that many. But like said, they are small, and cleaning is limited. What other snails and CUC do you have? Trochus snails breed as well and they are much better cleaner.

Well its just for an isolation tank that I have my macros in while I am doing the treatment for the turf algae.

Dove snails really only eat film algae that’s on glass and other surfaces of the tank. Think of them as adding biodiversity and not actually CUC. They simply are too small to put a dent into anything, but they do contribute a little.

I agreed, I couldn’t find any CUC that would consume hair algae without consuming my dragon breath macro. I think your best option is hydrogen peroxide dipping the rock, prevent hair algae from taking hold in the first place or just live with it

Oh you can try Molly if you have a low flow system. There’s a guy on YouTube who keep them to help clean his macro tank. I don’t have personal experience so can’t speak to how effective they’ll be
