i wouldn't spend money on a ryobi brand drill. You would need an impact driver for screws and a drill for making holes. Get a dewalt or makita and you'll be set for any projects. also recommend 18v+ for more torque.

agree Ryobi and B&D are weak choices. I'd add Bosch and Milwaukee to the list. I think impact isn't essential but nice to have for sure.

Get Milwaukee the basic drill/impact combo is cheap. I have the fuel models. And I wouldn't trade them in for any others.
