I was curious about those myself. I love my leds but feel like I should be supplementing with t5. I'm tagging along

I was going to pull the trigger and try a set to replace my actinic bulbs but for some reason MarineDepot no longer has them listed on their site. If you try them let us know how it goes and where you ordered them from. I think BlueRocket was doing a group buy but that may have passed

You can get them on Aquarium Specialty.

Does it make you wonder why MD dropped the line?

Oh for sure. They were out of stock for a while then just gone completley. There were only a few reviews on MD but I remember them being on the positive end. Maybe just bad sales, who knows?

I'd like to see some more reviews, specifically on sps before I buy a pair.

The last I saw the next wave is in production. The first wave was a feeler to see if the market would so a return, but they are being made

BluRocket3 ordered some. Ask Kyle what he thinks of them.

They appear to give off light in a uniform and dispersed fashion like T5's. I don't know how much shimmer you'll get from these since they're lower powered LEDs.

No shimmer, but the color is really nice on the Blue Pop. Gives you the same pop in color of your corals as reef brites or similarly colored leds do.

I thought I read somewhere that they lost a lot of par quickly. I guess I'm a rumor monger because I don't remember where I saw that. And it may not just be par that it reduced but growth of coral. I think it was on rc by one of the sps guys on an sps thread.
