Hey guys!

For those of you considering thecoralfarmer from ebay, DON'T!!!! I made the awful mistake of ordering his corals based off of his ebay ratings instead of doing a decent google search. Needless to say that's what I get for not being more diligent and vigilant. Below are some of the pics of what I ordered and what I actually received. This guy seems to cut the corals fresh and then ship them. Not allowing the coral adjust and heal. He also has the audacity to ask not to give negative feedback, instead respond via message to work things out.... uhhh yea, right. This guy deserves to be taken down after how many people he has screwed over!

The Bags they were shipped in reeked. One of the corals was completely bleached. The only one that actually looked like the picture was the red velvet blasto.

He sells frags for like $5 right? I would say you get what you pay for. A fully encrusted frag would be top notch dollar. Every coral should have a healing process tough.

Idk. Looks pretty good to me.

SPS don't travel well. A lot of times they lose color They look like some nice pieces though
+1, gotta agree. Not all, but some lose color on fragging or on shipping or on adjusting to new tank. Lighting is different as well so pictures are gonna not match up well. The down side from buying online is you never get to see what it looks like through your own eyes but the advantage is you have a much larger choice of frags. It is no fun not getting what you think you ordered and paid for. Since you are stuck with them now, hopefully, they will color up and look as good as you hoped for.

I have bought so many frags from so many different sources, that I realize my brown frag may or may not color up as expected. But as you pointed out, once you get familiar with LFS or online vendor or friendly hobbyist, you get more comfortable as to what to expect and how honest their photography is. But I can't over emphasize enough, lots of corals are notorious for browning out on fragging. One of the prettiest acro"s out there , Vivid's Rainbow Delight, is notorious for browning out upon fragging. Purple monster frags often die as frags and sometimes so does the mother colony. If you take care of your corals, like you take your pictures, I am pretty positive that those frags are gonna turn into beauties.

I wanted to necro this thread because I did the same thing recently. I ordered Z's&P's and they are all babies and all freshly cut, LIGHTYEARS away from the example photos he uses. We will see how they do, if they survive I wont be as irritated, but I highly doubt they will all live. Last time I got babies from a member on here when I was a noob still of Rastas they all melted because of the shock and still being juvenile.

Not as far as I can tell, only one of them was half open after 3.5 hours of being in the tank.

Unfortunately, yes. Didn't see the review until now or after I bought them.

He also didn't even use any heat packs, which describes in the auctions that they are included at no costs.

I have won a few auctions from this seller in the past. Frags were small, and he used kitchen tiles for some of the plugs. Iridescent ones, not even plain ones. Items were hit and miss. I got a great deal on some blastos, and a mummy eye chalice. All the acros(mille's) were fingernail tiny, and they all looked the same. Brown. I still have these pieces.

I believe this is his website http://mrcoral.com/go/

I should have known better, some of the names are made up, and the photos are amazing, but it doesn't say wysiwyg.

Have never seen these ones I won before, here's the eBay photos.

If you want to order sticks on Ebay, order from Reef Pets. I have quite a few things from his auctions and his frags are legit. He usually has auctions ending Thursday.

Yeah I've ordered from him before, definitely good stuff. I looked him up before I bid on these and there were no auctions.

This guy also appears to be way the eff out in MD, so you're going to be looking at some weather and shipping time to boot.
