Sounded familiar so I googled it. THere was a thread from years ago on Reef Central where Randy Holmes Farley (father of the 2 part solution, etc) torn it apart as pseudo science. As always, jmo. But then again as I've discovered, in this hobby, the oddest things work out sometimes.

yeah, just my opinion and a dollar get's you something at the 99 cents store. I don't have any direct experience with it, no proof it works or doesn't work. Just adding to the mix/discussion. I trust some of the "gurus" more than others and I generally listen to Randy.

there are a ton of threads on this subject.i have had people try to sell them to me but no one could ever tell me how it worked.if you end up getting one let me know how it works out for you.the only time i have had people say good things about theese are the people who are trying to sell it to me.

I don't believe there's one thing/special contraption that makes reef keeping easy. I trust the best practices that work for everyone like gfo, carbon, dosing vodka and algae scrubbers--these things make sense in theory and work universally. I'm sold on algae scrubbers and gfo/carbon.

This Gets me angry,,,

As a College student who took Oceanography courses and labs, I can honestly say that this product is a bunch of b@#@#T. I have a clear understanding of how the ocean works, along with the earth's magnetic forces, and I.R. Waves. There is no way those small magnets are doing anything, except maybe removing metal particles that shave off the pump impellers, it just isn't scientifically possible to do what it claims to do. I'm shocked nobody has sued this company for false claims.

Don't buy into the snake oil, cure all, products that aren't backed by scientific proof. This is chemistry were talking about here (based on scientific data), not religion (based on belief).

Those people who say it works maybe just believe it works, but they just don't know how. Maybe they prey for it to work. lol

i can tell you what a fuge does or what gfo does or what carbon does.but this thing???? i was at fish store and the owner of the store was trying to sell me one.he had them on all his tanks.but he could not explain to me how they work or even what it does.all he could tell me is that it makes all your filters work better??there are many products that claim to be cure alls, and there are many ways to keep a reef tank.find what works best for you.if you want to try somthing new check into solid vodka dosing.i just set up a tank with it and its doing great so far.
