The basic formula we are working right now (testing to ensure it works out for both sides) is:
0-10 miles $20
10-20 miles $30
20-30 miles $40
$1/mi over 30miles
This is strictly numbers we are testing out to make sure it pays for gas/time yet is still fair/good price for recipient. The only reason we have not posted these numbers prior is in case the prices needed to be adjusted to make financial sense. I know some people will be upset if these prices need to go up to make sense. So with that being said these are temporary numbers as of now but so far they seem to be working well and have not had any complaints on price yet and also has paid for gas/time for my guy. So if these prices continue to work well we will stick with them permenatly.
Also some may compare let's say a $40-$50 delivery fee to a $25-$30 shipping charge from another local business. The difference with delivery is the livestock is never handed off to ups, usps, FedEx, dhl etc so you don't have to worry about how it's tossed around or stored Etc before it gets to you. Also you don't have to worry about shipment delays, these pieces are in a bag for under an hour on average. It is literally like buying and coming straight home from the fish store. So for most people this has been well worth it. AND in addition to that many of you know out prices are far below others in the industry, therefore even with the delivery prices will be comparable (or still less if ordering a larger amount)
