Emerald Mithrax crab releasing larvae into the tank

While doing my random nighttime flashlight inspection of the tank, I saw one of the emerald mithrax crabs releasing larvae into the water.
At first it was releasing several dozen babies each time it flapped the plate on its underside. By the time I got back with my camera, it was almost done and was releasing leftovers.

And here is another video showing some of the larvae swimming in the tank.
I am sure they will all be eaten or die in the next few days. I do not have the expertise or the time to raise them to adulthood.
These babies can swim pretty fast considering the flow that is in the tank.
