So....I have a very real suspicion that I have a Eunicid worm in my tank... Not a big one mind you, but...
I noticed the little bastard the other day after a zapped an Aptasia off one of my Zoa colonies. He seemed to be coming out to eat the dead tissue from the recently departed Aptasia. I would post a picture, but this little SOB is FAST!!!
I'll do my best to describe him for those of you who will hopefully have a suggestion or 2.
Currently, I'd say he's about 2" long, black, with what appear to be 4 white tipped tentacles/appendages on what appears to be the business end. Has the millipede looking legs, and did I say FAST...
My issue is the rock he seems to have taken residence in is literally the main rock holding up 2/3's of my scape...
I am hoping someone has a suggestion of a trap or.....????? Before I tear the tank apart to get the little bastard.
I'm open to suggestions...
Thanks in advance

if you know what hole he comes in and out off... you can shoot a glob of super glue in it with a syringe or something... that'll starve him to death... better hope there's no backdoor to his pad...

I think there are many ways in/out... The rock he is in is probably 10-12 lbs... Fiji rock, pretty porous. I have a nasty suspicion I may be in for a re-scape... gumbii no traps you ever heard of working?

Yeah... The bad part about the glue is that you really can't tell if there's another opening until it's too late...

There are a ton of written traps... I would try then before the glue and escape... It won't hurt to try and if you can catch it, it was worth it...

Good luck... Let us know how this goes...

Its going to suck but, pull the rock out of the tank and pour peroxide on the rock. The worm should come right out if your lucky(worked for me). Also don't let that little bastard bite you. Worst case you will need a hammer to bust the rock open to make sure you get all of him out. If you leave one small piece of the worm it will grown back.

Here is a picture of the baddie in question.,.. Got this photo on line, but this is him.. No doubt. Going to try the peroxide treatment a bit later today. It just sucks that it is literally the MAIN rock... I suppose if this hobby was easy, everyone would do it... I'll post an update later
